The Astronomical Sundial
A brand new astronomical sundial needed to be prepared for shipment, but the
enigmatic and unwieldy object was rolled up into itself, its exterior and interior
faces overlapping, creating confusion among the craftsmen. The object did not
seem to possess any three-dimensional logic. The men, lingering around the
convoluted sundial, experience a sence of having lost touch with reality and
become so disoriented as to be unable to maintain control over the shipping
container. Each of the men is convinced that the orders are tilting the wrong side
of the container, so the sundial never makes it to its destination.
In this way, it serves its purpose, which is to measure the infinity of the
universe. It also provides a way to reverse time: all one needs to do is to turn back
the hands to revisit the past.
