The Crazy Table
Three craftsmen are trying to assemble the elements of a prefabricated table by
placing all its pieces of identical length in parallel with each other, each on their
corresponding notches. The angles and junctions match the plan perfectly.
However, the craftsmen are dumbfounded to see that the surface of the table is
tilting sharply to one side. Pushing and bending does not help, so they decide to
exhibit the crazy table at it is, to show that even useless things sometimes fit a
useful purpose.
