What happens in the life of a human being is depicted here in slow motion. People strive for the zenith throughout their lives, but while believing that they are ascending toward the zenith, they may very well be on a downward slope without being any wiser. No matter which may they are heading, their descent is bound to come sooner and later. On this flight of stairs, it is impossible to tell on which step the change of direction occurs.
